Before Picture - Driveway Repaving

We often get asked about whether or not a driveway needs to be fully dug out from the base up. This is an example of a driveway with a severely compromised sub-base. Even in an extreme example, such as this, there are a few factors to take into account when determining how to approach the job: average weight of personal vehicles, year to year observations of variance in the asphalt and client's budget goals. This particular client had a light car, a mindful budget and hadn't seen too much year to year variance in the asphalt. So, when we presented them with the options of digging it out completely or resurfacing, they decided to go with a resurfacing.

Pavemar provided the asphalt paving repairs required for the new SWITCH project. All areas were saw cut, removed, re-levelled, repaved and then milled out wider for the final top coat of asphalt to finish with a proper lap joint to the neighbouring surfaces. Our involvement in the project was completed in October of 2025.
